This philosophy has guided me throughout my personal and professional journey. From early on, I developed a sense of curiosity, which continues to drive me to deeply understand each task I take on, both professionally and personally. This approach is at the heart of how I work with individuals, teams, and businesses, enabling me to craft innovative, empathetic solutions. I believe this balance creates impactful, meaningful outcomes that truly move the needle.
Having worked across various sectors, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the role design and photography play in branding. When leveraged effectively, these elements can transform how a brand engages with its audience and stands out from the rest.
Background
I was born in Greater Manchester in the 1980s, where my creative journey began with sketching and doodling. My early fascination with the world around me led me to appreciate the beauty in the smallest details. Initially, I chose IT over Art for my secondary education but soon reversed that decision, catching up and finding mentorship in my art teacher.
After completing A-Levels and a Foundation in Art, I pursued a degree in Design & Art Direction in Manchester. I began my career in Bath and eventually moved to London, where I now live with my wife and two young daughters.
I’m grateful for the opportunities in my career. Professionally, I’ve contributed to the design of prominent consumer magazines like PlayStation, EDGE, and T3 during my time at Future Publishing. This provided a great foundation, blending design fundamentals with real-world work. I’ve worked on governmental campaigns like Defra’s personal food imports and fire safety initiatives. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of art-directing and shaping visual experiences for large-scale events at Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena for thousands of guests. These experiences have provided me with a strong foundation in branding, graphic design, and digital design—key tools in building a brand’s identity and presence.
A Business Journey
In 2015, I founded Count Creation, a design agency specialising in brand strategy, graphic design, and web & digital design. Count Creation has evolved over time to meet the changing needs of businesses, while continually exploring new ways to add value. Through BrandSpectra, I consult with companies to develop brand strategies and create impactful designs, websites, and experiences that resonate with their target audiences. We run workshops to dive deep into brands, helping businesses define their path forward.
Alongside my design work, I’ve developed a passion for photography, allowing me to capture moments, people, and places that tell a story through Count Photography. I see a synergy between design and photography, and honing my skills in both areas allows me to meet the challenges each presents, continually pushing me to grow as a creator.

Whether through design or photography, my goal is to create work that not only meets business needs but also feels real and authentic.
