Over the weekend I went to the 2009 Zee carnival. This is an annual event held at Olympia in London. There were lots of music performances from the likes of Jay Sean, Kidd Skilly, Navin Kundra, Raghav, H-Dhami and the rest of Rishi Rich productions to name a few….
The main crowd puller is usually a Bollywood star; in this case it was Shah Rukh Khan. Hoards of people lined up in their hundreds to get a glimpse of the man! Anushka Sharma from the hindi movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was there as well. It was her first time in the UK and coped with the crowd quite gracefully.
If you have been to Olympia you know how massive it is… Stalls were selling everything from samosas to sarees, from pendants to property.
I managed to get some cool shots from the front, as well as a few backstage. Have a look. If you are not in London I can definitely recommend coming down next year and spending the day. In my case the weekend!
